Yes, of course. We frequently see clients to just complete a WIAT and/or WISC. Some clients benefit from ongoing counselling following testing or standalone counselling where they have been tested elsewhere or are gifted adults.

The best thing to do would be to get in touch on the ‘contact us’ page. We offer 30 minute introductory calls with parents or clients to discuss your circumstances and see if we are the right fit to work together.

Gifted children can often go under the radar in scholastic environments, if you suspect high ability might be present, the assessments will help identify the profile of your child and this can improve things for them at school.

Yes either the WISC or the WIAT is available or we offer the WISC/WIAT package.

Yes, Dom Westbrook, the counsellor at Gifted Minds offers therapeutic support regardless of assessment.

The WISC usually takes around an hour to complete. The WIAT usually takes between 45 minutes to an hour.

Yes, you will receive a report within two weeks of the assessment. You will then have a phone follow up with Fiona to discuss the results, their implications and suggestions

We are not clinical psychologists so we cannot make these diagnoses, however, we are skilled at identifying possible reactions and behaviours that could signal issues with attention and social skills.

The counselling sessions are dependant on the persons needs and we provide a space for trust and complete honesty where clients can discuss anything that is on their mind, for instance, issues with boredom and frustration, social difficulties, focus issues, familial concerns, intensity, existential dilemmas and coping mechanisms.
We see clients both in person and virtually online.
